Constructed of premium full-grain and bullhide leather, the Fletcher Briefcase is hand-stitched by master craftsmen at the KILLSPENCER headquarters.  The sleek case is equipped with one main interior compartment and two front pockets.  The interior is fully lined with premium Alcantara®, a suede like material that is matchless in its protection of today’s smart devices.  An adjustable and removable leather shoulder strap is also included. 


David Wiseman has brought his unique sensibility and mastery of bronze craftsmanship to create the Fletcher’s custom hardware. Drawing inspiration from the natural world, he’s designed a top handle and stud closure of cast bronze and inlaid terrazzo. Each piece has been sculpted, cast in bronze, and inlaid with petrified wood, then polished to a mirror finish in Wiseman’s studio. Every detail has been fine-tuned by the artist’s hand to create hardware that is practical, unique, and elegant.  


The Fletcher Briefcase is individually numbered and includes a bronze identification plate with the KILLSPENCER + David Wiseman logo.  For additional customization, each case can be personalized with the owner’s initials on the business cardholder. 


ABOUT DAVID WISEMAN

David Wiseman’s work embodies his fascination with the natural world, global decorative arts traditions, and a reverence for honoring timeless craft techniques. Far from reproducing historic design he breathes new life into interiors and environments. Porcelain cherry blossom ceilings, bronze patterned filigree folding screens, and polished marble and terrazzo inlay furniture affirm and perpetuate the relevance ornament and beauty can play in contemporary architecture and life. In 2017 Wiseman collaborated with the Christian Dior brand in creating the limited-edition Lady Dior Art bag.


Wiseman has created site-specific installations for public institutions, international brands and private collections. A graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), his work is included in the permanent collections of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, RISD Museum, and the Corning Museum of Glass.
